Do you have a shelter?
No. Carbon Cat & Dog Rescue is foster-based. Animals live in volunteer homes, and there is no public shelter building or walk-in intake desk.
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve Carbon County and nearby Emery County, Utah. Help depends on location, urgency, foster availability, volunteers, appointments, and current resources.
Do you rescue dogs?
We rescue both cats and dogs, with cats and community TNVR at the center of the work. Every intake depends on a suitable foster and available resources.
How do I request help with community cats?
Visit the TNR page to learn about TNVR and use the official help request. Include the exact location, estimated colony size, feeding routine, property permission, and any immediate safety concerns.
What should I do if I find kittens outdoors?
Pause and observe from a distance when the location is safe. Their mother may be nearby. Move them only for immediate danger or a serious medical concern, and ask for guidance before feeding or separating them.
Can you take an owner-surrendered pet immediately?
Usually not. We have no shelter and foster space is limited. A request starts a review; it does not guarantee intake. Provide complete details so volunteers can assess options and referrals.
How can I become a foster?
Visit the Foster page and complete the rescue's official foster application. The team will work with you to find an animal that fits your experience, lifestyle, and household.
How do I apply to adopt?
Browse the live adoptable-pet roster, open the animal’s profile, and complete the rescue’s official adoption application. An application begins a review and does not reserve or guarantee an adoption.
How can I volunteer?
Visit the Volunteer page to learn about animal care, TNVR, transport, events, photography, social media, and administrative roles, then complete the official volunteer application.
How are donations used?
One hundred percent of donations directly support animals through medical care, food, supplies, and lifesaving programs.
